Our warehouse technician Adam keeps the rest of us on task, and the warehouse in excellent order, which is just the way we like it. He’s an integral part of our team working alongside our project managers to prepare and deliver equipment.
On the weekend Adam likes to play video games and play in the park with his kids. His favourite album is Gore by Deftones.
Personable and always with a smile, Jerome’s attention to detail on site is first class. He loves a bit of banter and is never afraid to ask a question. Jerome likes supporting local bands and musicians. He has lots of hobbies including photography, coarse fishing, clay pigeon shooting and national hunt horse racing (both watching and syndicated ownership!).
We asked Jerome: what’s the best part of working for JHAV?
“For me JHAV is definitely a continuously growing company but manages to keep the close-knit community and family feel. JHAV gives staff and freelancers the opportunity to grow and build their skills with a solid support network behind them.”
Head of Production
John’s years of production management mean he’s amassed a wealth of knowledge. He works on our special projects dealing with all aspects of event production and health and safety on site. A lighting designer at heart, he’s passionate about delivering unique events.
We asked John: what’s the most memorable JHAV event you’ve worked on?
“Without a doubt, Illuminate Festival of Light. Playing a lead role in bringing a light festival of that scale to Plymouth has been an amazing experience. I’ve worked with student and internationally acclaimed artists whilst also getting the opportunity to be creative myself! Watching people walk around the site, listening to their conversations and how much they enjoy it makes all the hard work worthwhile.”
Jamie works on the corporate side of the business and has over two decades’ experience dealing with blue chip companies and video technology. Jamie thrives on offering clients state of the art technology and service that exceeds all expectations. The success of JHAV? It’s down to the quality and commitment of the people that work in it.
The most influential person Jamie’s bumped into on a JHAV event was Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, he was dressed as a 7 foot tall goth rocker! If you’re coming to the office for a visit, bring a biscuits, fruit ones are Jamie’s favourite.
Sarah is the glue that holds the JHAV office and team together.
Based in Liskeard she’s often the first point of contact for clients. When she asks how you are – she means it. After more than 20 years as an event hire office manager, Sarah knows all too well the long hours event teams put into delivering for their clients. She also gives the best hugs on this side of the Tamar.
Sarah’s hobbies include exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside with the family including their three dogs! And if you’re making coffee, hers is a flat white, please.
Sales & Installations Manager
During his 20+ years in the events industry, Ewan has amassed a wealth of knowledge and uses it at JHAV to ensure the smooth-running of installation projects in a variety of unique locations. A valuable member of the team, he also looks after sales and makes it his mission to deliver on whatever the customer needs.
Ewan’s most memorable moment with JHAV is when he created a 10 metre tall birthday cake that was used as a centrepiece for a world famous national ballet tour. It was covered in hundreds of lights and was big enough for people to dance on!
Ewan loves that no two days at JHAV are the same and that his colleagues feel like one big family. When he’s not hard at work, you’ll find him surfing, walking his dogs and spending time with his children.
